This morning I went thru some of the pictures. These are from the most recent walk I went on.

Here is the first of a few post of the end of this week that I am going to do. Like I mentioned tomorrow morning a group of my Brother Knights will embark on a 3 day journey through the southern half of Texas. They start out at my old parish, Resurrection of the Lord and end their journey at The Basillica of our Lady in San Juan, TX. I have made the trip 3 times and I really miss it. I cannot wait to join them again soon. Those who know me, know that I am not in the best physical shape, but I can walk. I do not walk fast, but at my own pace. We usually walk in small groups. Several groups walk for 3 miles at a time. We all walk about 12-18 miles a day. The entire ground is covered by someone, but not no one walks the entire distance. We are not trying to kill ourselves. At night we rest.

I am making a commitment to post everyday for the next 4 days. Since I am in Pennsylvania, I cannot join my fellow Brother Knights as they walk from San Antonio to San Juan, TX. Yes, you heard me correctly, we walk from San Antonio to San Juan. More specifically we start at our Parish Resurrection of the Lord and we end at the Basillica of Our Lady in San Juan, TX. I uploaded a very simple map of the route. I cannot be there, but they know I am with them in spirit and prayer. For those of you interested, we do this to raise money for scholarships for the youth of parish. You can contact Robert Salinas to make donations. I think I have missed 2 walks. I was thinking of hopping on my jet and walking with them this year, but with the economy in the gutter I had to lend my jet to the execs of GM, Ford and Chrysler so they can go to some meetings in DC. Then they called and told me that they had to sell it. Damn fools! hehe! Keep an eye out for the next few posts. I will be posting pics of the past walks.
