I would not say Foo Fighters is my favorite group, but they are on my short list. It is always a time like this… Well this page is supposed to be about me.

So what is Carlos Medina? Oops I mean who is Carlos Medina

This blog is supposed to be about my photography. I created a website a while back when I was trying to purse my professional photography career. I will admit that I am not a web design guru by no stretch of the imagination. I can hack up some html, but that is about it. So I figured that this blog format would work well. I played with some tools and for now I am just trying to follow my photography for pleasure at the moment. I found that when I tried to make it a living, it sucked the fun out of it and I lost my inspiration. Every photo shoot was the same and I got stuck in a rut. So tune in to the blog and see what develops.

Some other background info:
I was born in San Antonio, TX to Humberto and Maria Medina. My dad was a carpenter and my mom stayed home with the kids. People still did back then. I was the youngest of five. I was a few years younger than my nearest sibling, so I was alone most of the time. My sibilings were older and were off working, having babies, getting married, and not always in that order. I spent most of my life in San Antonio and I only ventured out of San Antonio in my twenties when I got my associates Degree. I really did not venture very far. I commuted to Austin, TX. I got a tech support job at Dell. I wonder what my future would have held if I would have actually moved to Austin? Check back for more on that topic.

Now I live in Pennsylvania. My photography has taken a back seat for my IT career. I am a Network Operations Manager for AlliedBarton Security Services. I like my job and I have fun everyday I go to work. Don’t tell my boss that, he will think they are paying me too much…
