So I was working on this problem at work just trying to use this grey matter that is in my head. I started thinking about other things like I often do when I try to focus. I have been having trouble focusing lately. I started taking an online class to finish up my bachelors degree. I have not been able to focus on that. I guess it does not help that it is an online course. when I am at work, I can’t focus on work. I am not really stressed out, but I just concentrate. I have so many loose ends in my life right now that it seems overwhelming.
I just took a pic outside of the window. I wanted to include some pic even if it just from my iPhone…

I was playing with ICE again last night and I put together this panorama of the view outside my hotel room in Chicago. I was staying in the Rosemont area. Just playing around, but let me know what you think…

I took some pics and stitched them together to make this panorama. I am uploading another one later. I am playing with some xml stuff so I you might have to download some plugins or something. I took this one from the entrance of the Boulder Field. Not exactly at the entrance, but close to it. It had been cool at night and I thought it might be cool on the rocks, but it was actually pretty warm. I set this up as my new wallpaper on my work PC. I have two 22″ monitors and it looks really cool. On sunny days I like to stop down, I just love the depth you feel with the shadows. I categorized this under SKY, becasue you see so much sky. Every time I look at the picture I just remember how amazing that place was. Just makes your mind boggle at what God can create. Even if you do not believe in God, you have to be in Awe of what it took to create this place. It does not compare to the Grand Canyon, but still is pretty awe inspiring.

I know I had not posted an image in a while. I finally got my library together. I was consolidating hard drives trying to fit everything to one place. I think I finally got it. Now I want to buy an Apple Time Capsule. The 1TB version. Then I can get rid of the crappy Linksys wireless router I got.
So about the Pic…Like the title says, I took this picture the first day I owned my Canon D30. I bought it used off of ebay. I know what you are thinking, “Buying a used camera off of Ebay, are you crazy. Without even seeing it!” It was actually a good deal. I do not remember what it came with. I had a couple of lenses that I sued to use with my old Rebel 35mm. After i got it I went to the store and ran some errands. I remember that much. This was when we lived in San Antonio. We lived in the Creekside subdivision. This is a view from my drive way look west. You can see the sun, duh! Maybe I should not have been shooting or looking that much at the sun, but I like this pic for that reason. The large fire just blazing in the sky. The sun amazes me, from a photography and scientific perspective. I know people do things to get rid of flare, but I think it adds something to this picture. I was going to photoshop this pic, but I decided not to.
Well, let me know what you think. This photo was taken in on October 22, 2003. Shutter speed 1/350 F/13 ISO 400 Focal length was 35mm. No flash, just a UV filter, hence the flare spots.
You can see my old truck off to the right.

Hello,
I am Carlos’s Evil Work Alter Ego. I am the one that casues him to miss so many great photo oppurtunities. I am the one that made him take his current position. The position that he has devoted so much time to. Ok, I am not really suffering from MPD, Multiple Personality Disorder. I am just making excuses. I really do not spend much time doing work stuff outside of work. During the day I am a kick ass IT manager. I do not know if you can describe any IT manager as kick ass. At least all the IT managers I have known have been less than kick ass. I guess I have been uninspired. No, I can’t say that either. I have inspiration all around me. Everything I look at I want to photograph. I want to capture it in my mind’s eye. I want to show everyone what I am seeing. But, I just take a snapshot with my point and shoot and call it a day. Maybe I am just really suffering from the winte blues. This is the first time in my life I have suffered from the winter blues. Back home, winter was like 2 weeks long. As you can see from the picture, my environment is somewhat different from Texas. So far I hear this winter has been mild. I can stand the cold and the snow. I have not really been bothered by scraping the ice off my windshield. Luckily I have not had to shovel snow. On the downside I have not had a chance to really enjoy the snow either. I did go skiiing a couple of times thanks to some friends in CT and my boss. The first time was cool, but the second time I had a lot more fun. Too bad there has not been that much snow this year. So enjoy the picture. I took it with my phone. At least you can see the snow outside my window. At least now, I can sit at my desk and look out the window. All my IT career I have either been in the basement, in a cubicle, a room with no windows, basement, or a basement…! No technical info since I took it with my phone. I turned off the flash.
